2018-2019 Message from Mrs. Sattari
2018-2019 has been a year to celebrate! Kenmore was named a California Distinguished School, the state's highest academic honor and was also awarded a silver medal as one of America's Best Urban Schools from the National Center for Urban School Transformation. Kenmore not only exceeded the state average on the CAASPP, California Assessment of Student Performance and Progress, for all of our student groups, but was recognized for having an intervention program that ensured continuous improvement for all students.
For the third year in a row, Kenmore was named a 2016 Honor Roll School for "consistently high levels of student academic achievement, improvement in achievement over time, and reduction in achievement gaps" by the Educational Results Partnership.
In addition, in the spring of 2019, Kenmore was named a Los Angeles County Top School by the University of Southern California, Sol Price Center for Social Innovation and Rossier School of Education Center for Education Policy, Equity, and Governanace. Kenmore was one of the 279 schools in Los Angeles County to be honored.
At our core, students, parents, and teachers are a No Excuses University and support the BPUSD district mission that we are here to ensure success for ALL learners. We believe that ALL students can learn, ALL students can be successful, and ALL students can be prepared one standard at a time to go to college.
Join us as we move forward by attending parent meetings, school events, and volunteering to help our programs.
Jane Sattari, Principal
